What’s On in Edinburgh June 2012

June starts with Gardening Scotland on the
1st, 2nd & 3rd.
For the green-fingered amongst you it’s a great chance to see some garden design ideas as well as numerous plant stalls and exhibitors in the Royal Highland Exhibition Centre. For the non-gardeners there are numerous food and clothing stalls and plenty of non-garden exhibitions and displays to keep everyone entertained.

What’s On in Edinburgh May 2012

Make the most of the bank holidays throughout May. The 7th is the May Day holiday and the 21st is Victoria Day. Use one of them to visit the newly refurbished Scottish National Portrait Gallery’s Farmscapes exhibition running until the 3rd of June.  The Magnum photographer Stuart Franklin was commissioned by the Gallery to capture the diversity of agricultural production in Scotland.  Franklin’s spectacular images, recording everything from allotments to fisheries, island crofts to large estates, make for a beautiful patchwork of the rich Scottish landscape.
