What’s On in Edinburgh October 2016

This October eat, drink beer, and be merry with Edinburgh’s restaurant festival & Oktoberfest. As the nights draw in and we get closer to Halloween why not indulge in some (family friendly) frightening with the magic-themed Storytelling Festival, a Royal Mile ghost tour or take part in the Celtic Samhuinn Fire Festival to mark the Summer’s end?

What’s On in Edinburgh September 2016

This month is all about a good old fashioned detox after the excesses of the festival. Travel down the coast and spend the morning at Fletchers Cottage Spa, lunch at the Secret Herb Garden, & get out & explore the hills all whilst raising money for charity in the Pentland Push annual walk.

September gives visitors a great opportunity to explore some of the cities iconic but private buildings in the Edinburgh Doors Open day on the 26/27th. Not here then?! Not a problem there is also Historic Riding of the Marches, Scottish Art, Photography & Ballet on offer this month in the capital.

What’s on in Edinburgh October 2014

Having had the driest September on record I think we may be making up for it this October!  There is a definite chill in the air as leaves change, bracken dies back and heather finishes flowering for the year.

This month is pretty quiet in Edinburgh but there are a few outdoor & indoor (if the weather is not playing ball) activities to keep you busy.
