Eastside is changing into it's autumn colours once again. The bracken and treetops turn golden, and red rowan and hawthorn berries provide ample food for the fieldfares passing through on their way south for Winter.

What's on around Edinburgh in September?
September is often a good time to explore Edinburgh. The streets are much quieter and you can get a better locals' perspective without the Festival fanfare. Make the most of the exhibitions and chances to see beyond the (usually closed) doors during Doors Open Day. Visit the local landmarks or have a night out at the theatre and dine-out in some spectacular eateries.
Doors Open Day gives access to hidden architectural gems in locations throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians. Buildings are opened to the public in celebration of their fascinating architecture and the stories they can tell. Different buildings open each year from Edinburgh observatories to anatomical museums depending on the programme.
